Jane Ashby lives  in Yorkshire and  has always been passionate about writing and storytelling, particularly the fascinating history of her great grandparents who came from Yorkshire.   She has lovingly formulated a book on her 19th century Missionary  Great Grandfather and his love of the Chinese over 30 years. The book is called  A Life Remembered. She has now another book to portray her great  grandmother's contribution, among others, to the missionary effort.  This was sadly to cost her her life. This book is called For the Love of China .  It is a true story of  the women missionaries in the mid 19th century.  Their courage and bravery was incredible, in a world when women were not supposed to be independent!

Jane is not only an author but often gives many Talks on her illustrious forebears to many organisations near her home in Yorkshire.  Married with grown up children and grandchildren.  

She would love to hear from anyone interested in history.
